The first time I heard Neilson talk about Andorra, I had to get out a map because I thought it was where Mia Thermopolis reigned as queen.

Last week we took a three hour drive out of Girona to Andorra. After a relentlessly winding drive brushing the edge of France, we descended into a beautiful mountainous valley. The trip was for immigration appointments and details I won’t bore you with. Although the photos may seem serene, it was a three day turned four day trip involving appointments, waiting and lots of paperwork.

The country has one main highway that runs through it and descends from about 2,000 meters in elevation to 1,000 m at the most northern city, Andorra La Vella. Therefore, ideal for altitude camps for Neilson. It was snowing most of the time we were there and this Texan was in a lot of layers. I will say there is something very enchanting about snowflakes falling from the sky. Not feeling particularly inspired by any specific words about Andorra, so I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.
