week 20
It’s pretty crazy to believe we’re halfway to meeting baby powless!
These last few months have flown by, and starting to feel better coincided with a month of busy weekends in April. I slipped away to London to see family, and I’m always inspired by the design, gardens, and fashion trends I see while I’m there. Last weekend, we went to Barcelona for a Gyrotonic training, and snuck in a quick trip to Girona as well. Got to squeeze friends in person and then a busy weekend in bcn. The training was for Gyrotonic Pre and Post Natal applications and I learned so much in those jam packed 3 days. With a new understanding of our bodies during pregnancy/birth that made me more excited than scared for the first time since getting pregnant.
Tomorrow, I’m headed stateside while Neilson is at altitude and really looking forward to some time in Texas to scope things out for our return at the end of July, and to get my California fix of friends and food for the year. June and July will pass pretty quickly with visitors in and out and small trips planned throughout. End of July I am heading back stateside. When I bought that ticket, it was pretty crazy to think I’ll be returning to France in the new year with another human in tow!
Nesting mode has commenced along with major closet clean outs. The nursery is beginning to take shape, but still filled with boxes of things to move in/out of storage. I’ve started having my morning quiet time in the baby’s soon to be room that consists of a rocking chair, and boxes and piles of things to be sorted. What a sweet space to dream about though.
I’m working on a baby registry now and would love any and all suggestions if you have them! It all feels a bit overwhelming with so many options out there and “things” we might need, in a lifestyle where we’re already toting ourselves and belongings to and fro constantly. Attempting to maintain a minimalist approach.
The weather here is warming up, daylight is stretching long past 9pm, and summer is in sight! This weekend was warm enough for beachside picnics and dips in the sea…the start of many, many more.
Things I’m loving lately:
